Good morning. The co-authors are taking about the fundamental idea of God, that internal nugget containing our ability to believe in God and develop faith, with which all humans are born.  

• How is that reality hidden sometimes?
  
  It may be obscured by calamity, by pomp, by worship of other things, but in some form or other it is there.

The hypnotic effects that the Steam of Life has on us pulls us into that infamous ‘bondage’ of self, numbing our conscience and making it very hard to stay ‘awake’ and conscious of God.

• What are the real facts which are older than the history of mankind?

For faith in a Power greater than ourselves, and miraculous demonstrations of that power in human lives, are facts as old as man himself.

• What do we finally come to see?

We finally saw that faith in some kind of God was a part of our make-up, just as much as the feeling we have for a friend.
