Page 33 - More About Alcoholism

Chapter: Three

Page: 33

Step we are on: Step One

Subject: The "Man of Thirty"

  • What did several young men discover?

Several of our crowd, men of thirty or less, had been drinking only a few
years, but they found themselves as helpless as those who had been drinking
twenty years.

  • Does how long a person drinks have much to do with the fatality of alcoholism?

To be gravely affected, one does not necessarily have to drink a long time

Does the amount one drinks have much to do with alcoholism?

nor take the quantities some of us have.

SO of what use then are the dreadful war stories that focus on how much or how often? None! Our stories are supposed to focus on much different information and if you follow along in this study we do cover that.

Tomorrow:

Does alcoholism treat women differently?

What can be said for potential female alcoholics?
