Good morning. We are going through the columns of the 4th step directions. We are looking at sex and learning how sexual misconduct relates to selfishness. 

Now for the third part of our Inventory. Sexual misconduct is another manifestation of our character defects.

• What do many of us need when it comes to our sex conduct?

Now about sex. Many of us needed an overhauling there.

Overhaul – to examine thoroughly for the purpose of making repairs. The Winston Simplified Dictionary – 1938

So it's, "examine,” but also, "repair." Something must be broken!

(Point out how a newcomer’s ‘sexuality’ is broken but be prepared to hear a speech about being “judgmental”  -  perhaps even getting "fired" as sponsor.)

But above all, we tried to be sensible on this question.

It's so easy to get way off the track.

• What kind of opinions do we encounter when it comes to this topic?

Here we find human opinions running to extremes - absurd extremes, perhaps.

• One side of the debate looks at sex as what?

One set of voices cry that sex is a lust of our lower nature, a base necessity of procreation.
